Burl C. Brown was a buddy in Officer Candidate School, and we "ran into each other" in Vietnam. He had to be transferred to Japan for treatment of Leischmaniasis (a blood parasite).

This award from the Vietnamese Army was presented to me for involvement in training Vietnamese signalmen. It was known in Signal Corps circles as the "Atomic Chicken" award.
Twenty-one and 1/2 years of military experience are summed up in a box of medals which will pass to my grandson.
