My family. I'm on the right.  Two redheads in the center are my daughters.  The kids are my grandkids.  The other two knotheads are my sons in law!
My wife, Pam, is in the center with Abigail and Boone in her lap.  Her short haircut is not a summer hairstyle.  In June of 2001, Pam was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease, Stage III.  She started chemo immediately, and although the doctors claim improvements in chemotherapy, it was still rough!  This picture, taken in June 2002, shows her new hair beginning to grow..another cancer survivor due the grace of God and medical science!
This is my "baby" daughter Sarah with husband Marty, and children Boone (redhead), Ashton, and Drew (brunette).  They live in Mexia, Texas.
Marty works for the railroad and Sarah is going to cosmetology school.
This is my oldest daughter Sunday, her husband Larry, and daughter Abigail.  They live near Boston, Mass.  Larry works for an auto dealership, and Dr. Sunday is the assistant lab director at an In-vitro Fertilization Clinic.
Boone, age 3, a real champ!
Ashton, age 8, with Boone and Sarah.
Little Abby celebrated her 1st birthday on August 17, 2002.
MORE LATER ! !
Left:  Boone with the "watching TV" gaze.
Left:  Grandson Boone on the stonewall of Cemetery Ridge at Gettysburg.  Across the field came Pickett's Charge against devastating fire.  Most died....so much blood soaked these fields!
I stood on the spot where General Armistead was mortally wounded.  It was a moving experience.
Boone and I at bridge at Concord, Massachusetts.  I was in the National Guard, so I feel a degree of kinship to the minutemen of Concord and Lexington.
Boone and I on top of the Appalachians.
The best part of life is when you have grandkids!  This is Abby.
We went on a cruise in January 2003 and here we are at the ruins of Lamanai, Belize.
Sept, 2009:   Pam is an 8 year cancer survivor,  and has since survived heart surgery, acute pneumonia, and is working on surviving pulmonary fibrosis.
Sept 2009.  Here is a life lesson:  Your grandchildren grow up faster than your children did.  Why is that?  And why is a month only a week long when you pass 60??
